
Rick Santorum addressed primary night supporters in Steubenville, OH, telling them “we’re going to get at least a couple of gold medals and a whole passel of silvers.” Santorum is in a close race with Mitt Romney in Ohio.
He cited President Obama’s health care law as the “issue that breaks the camels back,” saying it was the reason he got into the race.
Rick Santorum was projected to win both Oklahoma and Tennessee soon after polls closed in those states. He spoke to supporters before the race had been called in Ohio or in any of the three caucus states, North Dakota, Idaho and Alaska.
“Once the government has control of your life, they’ve got you,” he said. “This is an election about fundamental liberty.”

Rick Santorum has won the non-binding Missouri primary and the Minnesota caucuses. Addressing supporters at the St. Charles Convention Center in St. Charles, Missouri, Santorum said that “tonight was a victory for the voices of our party, conservatives and the tea party.”
